The barn has been thoughtfully converted to a very high standard to provide comfortable self-catering accommodation in three separate cottages - Blue Brook, Green Gallop and Red Ridge (sleeping groups totaling up to 15). Blue Brook is the largest of the cottages and has a large and open plan sitting room so that everyone can eat and socialize together. There is an outside graveled area with tables next to the river with a BBQ & fire pit to finish off your evening looking up to the stars, our location has Dark Sky Wales status and is listed as a top ten place to go stargazing in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
All the cottages feature oak floors and staircases, where Welsh slate complements the original beams and stonework. Each kitchen has its own electric induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, with a washing machine present in Blue Brook. Each also has free Wifi, LCD TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. There is ample parking and additional storage for mountain bikes, canoes and surfboards. The cottages are non smoking inside and we apologise but pets are not allowed. Due to the river beside the cottages it is not suitable for very young children unless strictly supervised at all times.
Blue Brook - Three bedrooms sleeping six
Newly fitted and well equipped open plan kitchen with a cooking island. The spacious sitting room with comfortable leather sofas and chairs features hand-made furniture and a lovely oak coffee table. The dining table is set in a light, airy glazed part of the sitting room with a large oak dining table easily able to seat 15 people. The kitchen door opens up to the outdoor sitting area along the river. There is a downstairs shower room with handbasin and toilet. Up a flight of oak stairs to two double bedrooms and a third twin bedroom with the handmade ‘Goldilocks‘ style wooden beds. The spacious bathroom has a free standing ‘roll top‘ bath with toilet and washbasin, with views across the valley.
Green Gallop - Two bedrooms sleeping four
The open plan kitchen is well equipped with ample work and storage space. The living room has comfortable leather sofas and chairs with a beautiful hand-made coffee table made from local oak. Downstairs are warm terracotta tiles and a shower room with toilet and hand basin. Upstairs in the first bedroom there are twin handmade beds and in the second bedroom are full size ‘Goldilocks’ bunkbeds.
Red Ridge - Two bedrooms sleeping five
A fully equipped open plan kitchen. The dining area has an oak table and chairs and comfortable new leather sofa and chairs, downstairs there are warm terracotta tiled floors through-out. Back door to separate outside patio. Up handmade wooden stairs to twin bedroom with ‘Goldilocks‘ style wooden beds and a second bedroom with triple bunk beds, the lower being a wide double bunk and a full size top bunk - sleeps 3 people. Shower room with toilet and handbasin.
